Ukraine’s Unity Day

On January 22, Ukrainians mark the Day of Unity. It commemorates the moment in 1919 when the Ukrainian People’s Republic and the West Ukrainian People’s Republic declared their unification into one state. Today, Ukrainians continue to defend this right – the right to exist as an independent and free nation.

Unity for Ukrainians today is not abstract – it is about everyday choices that make us stronger and fill our hearts with hope. We stand together. Stand with us, stand with Ukraine.
