They Came to Rest|Russia Brought Death and Destruction

On the morning of August 6, Russian forces launched an airstrike on a recreational base in the Zaporizhzhia region. It was just a peaceful place where people were resting.

Tragically, two people were killed. Twelve civilians were injured, including two children.

One child is in critical condition, both are undergoing surgery. Six more adults with severe blast injuries are also being operated on.

That same night, Russia targeted civilian infrastructure in several regions. In the Dnipro region, it attacked power grids. In the Odesa region, it hit a gas station, cutting off gas to hundreds of families. In Kherson, it dropped explosives from a drone on people. In Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, it shelled ordinary civilians and private homes.

Russia will only seek peace when it feels real pressure. Now is the time to increase all available tools of pressure – from the U.S., Europe, the G7.
